I’d been searching for an air fryer and actually bought one from a big massive electrical appliance store. Got it home, read the reviews, and then took it back.
Checked reviews on Amazon and this Tower Vizion Dual Basket (with lights!!!) is so easy to use, took me about 30 seconds, now I’m an expert. Washed the baskets, warmed it up on the pre heat setting and noticed a burning plastic smell. Got a bit naffed with that, so let it run for about 10 mins. Then put some southern fried chicken for about 10 mins, and no plastic smell at all, just good chicken smell. I think the fans inside kick out heat at the back of the unit where there are some plastic grills. So the plastic smell must just be from the inner workings, the fans blowing it out the back. With food in the baskets, you only get the food cooking smell.
So there we go, highly recommend. My 1st review of anything on Amazon. Bargain at this price.

This is an excellent air fryer. We have used it endlessly and have been able to cook a wide variety of foods in it. We have even cooked thin chips to perfection in just 8 minutes and toast 4 pieces of toast in 7 minutes. It has upper and lower cooking elements, which aids in the cooking and crisping time and has not disappointed and is part of Towers Vortex brand. They also supply a 3 year guarantee, which saves the extra cost of buying extended insurance. I have had a few Tower products over the last 40 years and they have all been good.
The couple of gripes that I do have, it was supplied with 3 flat air fryer trays, which are good quality, but food has fallen off the back of the tray when removing it from the oven, close to the bottom elements, because they dont have a rim.
I bought different trays from another company which fit this unit. The unit comes with a heat diffuser, which you choose to put on or leave off depending on the space you have, which is 10cm long. Which is situated at the back of the unit. It is difficult to clean inside as the surface feels a little grainy.
It would have preferable if the light that stays on throughout cooking, which is handy, would stay on when taking things out, instead of turning off. Overall I love the unit and expect to get years of use from it.
The internal sizes are 20cm high x 26 wide.
Signing up with instalment plan with Barclays through Amazon was really easy and quick to do . Something I hadn’t tried before . I would definitely recommend this service to my friends and family . –

This dryer was going very cheaply in a Black Friday sale and I liked the idea of different size baskets. (I did discover Lakeland sell an identical model with their brand but about £20 more than I paid – but with their 3-year no-quibble guarantee.) Construction is better than I hoped and feels solid. It doesn’t get very hot in use and is much quieter than my friends’ units. The small basket is just right for chips for two or for some veggies while cooking fish or chicken in the big basket. I bought some small silicone cake tins which fit the big basket and baking a cake (and scones) worked OK. I also got square silicone inserts when at Lakeland which fit really well and keep the cleaning to a minimum. I’m still learning how to use it to best effect but so far I’m very pleased.
EDIT: 9 months in and I’m still delighted with this. I don’t bake with it because the capacity is just too small – who makes 4 scones at a time?! One thing I wish it had is an easy way to just set the temperature and timer. You have to select one of the preset programmes first, then adjust the settings. It would be much easier if the default was just set the values (rather than have chips as default). I rarely use the presets to be honest. But other than that it still looks as good as new with no signs of wear, and now that I’m used to the required settings (usually 10% cooler and shorter than for a fan oven) I’m getting very good results.

I originally purchased my first air fryer a year ago, which was the Cosori 5.5L. (also a brilliant air fryer) I decided last month I wanted to get a dual one. As I’d had a Cosori one previously I was going to get the dual Cosori one, but I couldn’t afford to spend £200 at the time so when I saw this one on sale for £103.99 I quickly ordered it and I’m glad I did. The speed at which it cooks your food is unbelievable. It has 10 presets allowing you to air fry, roast, grill, bake etc which also picks the temperature & time for you (which you can adjust if you feel the need) Windows on the draws so you can view without pulling them out & also two of the digital buttons are for lights on both draws to make the viewing even clearer. Food tastes so much better than it does in a normal cooker IMO and the ease of cleaning is awesome, just make sure you don’t clean with the rough side of a sponge for example as you will damage the non stick coating. You can match cook both draws for if you have the same food in or food with the same time and temperature. There is also smart finish which will have foods with different times finish at the same time which is very handy. I have two small grumbles, one is you can’t select temperature or time without choosing a preset first. The second is you get five recipes in the back of the instruction manual. With the Cosori 5.5L I had you could do select temperature and time without using a preset, and you got a recipe book with 100 recipes for breakfast, snacks, main meals and desserts. But as I said these are only small grumbles, so I’m not going to be one of those so this is only a three or four star kinds of people. Five for me and I highly recommend this air fryer.
